This lovely property is set at the edge of a picturesque village and has stunning views over a lake and mountains. The village lies just 16km from the glorious capital of First Bulgarian Kingdom, Veliki Preslav, and 38km from the regional centre Shumen. The ruins of Veliki Preslav are scattered over three square kilometers near the banks of the Ticha, and to make sense of them it helps to see the plans and model in the siteea?s Archaeological Museum. According to John the Exarchha?s Shestodnev, C10 Veliki Preslav was the most populous town in the Balkans, with extensive suburbs surrounding a walled inner town containing a?large buildings of stone on both sides, decorated with woodda?. It also held a Palace, a royal School of Translators, the Patriarchate and other a?churches ornamented with stones, wood and paintings, marble and copper, silver and goldda?.
